The SCMA Difference (have drawings)

#1: We provide music classes with an experienced, Washington state credentialed music teacher. Various instruments are demonstrated and/or taught, such as flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, drums, violin, piano, guitar, bass guitar, and piano keyboard during our ‘Instrument of the Week’ presentations.

#2: We teach musical literacy, the ability to read, write, and perform sheet music. (pic) Our students typically perform far beyond state school music standards. For example, grades 4-5 typically sing choral pieces at the middle-school level (3 part harmony, etc.).

#3: We provide a strong foundation for a lifetime of music, including proper vocal technique, piano keyboard proficiency, percussion performance, classical music appreciation, and so much more!

#4: We cultivate creativity, encouraging students to create their own musical compositions. Upper grades shall learn elements of music theory, song-writing, and classical music form-and-analysis.

#5: We are Christ-centered, teaching students basic Bible truths and encouraging students to not simply sing to the Lord, but to diligently follow the teachings of the Bible. Some of our former students are now worship leaders.
