Why SCMA?

Fun! Music! Concerts!

The SCMA will provide a musical knowledge and skill base that will provide great benefit in the performance and appreciation of music – all to the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ!

What Can Your Child Expect at the SCMA?

Instruments, Instruments!

A different instrument is typically featured each week: from flute to violin, from drums to the electric guitar, from a digeridoo to a 32-key melodica, your child will hear and see it all! Your child will also learn how to read music and improve their hand-eye coordination and sense of rhythm. It is a proven fact that music helps kids to perform better in other academic arenas!

Oh, the joy of singing!

With the right song and instruments, singing is a blast! In addition, the Academy will provide your child with the ability to ‘sight-sing,’ that is, to see those musical notes on a page and sing whatever is written! They will also learn proper vocal technique so their singing sounds pleasant – as it should be!

Music Appreciation

Several of Mr. Shiloh’s former students are now worship leaders, another said that she wanted to be music teacher, another became a singer of some renown. Yet, regardless of their future vocation, every child benefits from a solid understanding and appreciation of music!

Concert Time!

What parent does not delight to see their child perform? Taking pictures and videos are greatly encouraged! Don’t forget to invite your friends and relatives! This is going to be great fun! Concerts are held at the end of each term: Christmas (mid-December) and Spring (mid-June)! See you there!

Singing, playing instruments, performing concerts, and worshiping God. That’s what we do! Thank you for considering the SCMA!
